Islam in accepting & managing change and the harsh reality that comes with it

Easier said than done. The reality on the ground doesn't usually in tandem with the change. Those who are involved in the implementation of the change are often not consulted. These implementers are the majority while the policymakers are the minority. Still, minority wins here, and wins hands down when hardly any suggestion were requested from the majority. The voice of the majority is, most of the time, ignored. The majority is to say nothing and just get the job done.

Harsh reality, it is. Many people just have to toe the line, whether they like or not. Naysayers are threatened with disciplinary actions. Fearing for themselves and their families, they, too, finally have to toe the line.

Then, comes fellow majority with suggestions ranging from time management, managing priority, stress control methods and so on. They are good fellows. They know the inevitability of policies put forward by the minority. So, they help their fellow strugglers/jugglers/whatever with those suggestions. Those suggestions are good. No complaints on that. In fact, no complaints on anything!

Islam, a deenullah, offers to take away any problem that crops up as a result of a policy change. Among other things, Islam encourages us to be patient and wise. Be patient in a way that we do not overreact, and be wise in a way that you implement the said policy to the best of your ability. After that, ask Allah's assistance on what you have done. Allah SWT will know if you have tried your best. He will surely know. So, rest assured that come what may, Allah SWT is there.

Beside practising patience and wisdom, let us recite zikrullah as many as possible, day in day out. Zikrullah calms us inside out. It takes away the stress that is straining our various veins and our hearts.

Rest assured that there will be more changes in store. To put ourselves, our health and well-being just because of our failure to accept change and the harsh reality that comes with it, we are gradually killing ourselves. Let's remember Allah SWT and His teachings always!
